The client wanted “the badge on the phone”, full stop. Turning that request into a real project meant explaining, before anything else, that this was an Apple certification process, not a feature to bolt onto an app.
Made clear from day one that the project ran on two separate tracks (credential issuance and reader certification), to build a realistic timeline and guide the client through every test phase.
First live case in Italy, a 6-month rollout, and a communication model reused for the projects that followed.
